Feature Overview
With the Amazon Business (AB) integration, Innovation Minds enhances your employee rewards experience by enabling direct access to Amazon’s wide product range. Employees can redeem their rewards points through the AB platform, while organizations benefit from streamlined purchasing and fulfillment. The supported countries include: United States (US), Canada (CA), United Kingdom (UK), Germany (DE), Spain (ES), Italy (IT), France (FR), and Japan (JP).
Key Features Include:
- Seamless Reward Redemption: Employees can browse Amazon’s vast catalog directly from Innovation Minds and redeem points for products.
- Real-Time Access & Tracking: The integration allows real-time tracking of orders and fulfillment statuses, providing employees with transparency throughout the process.
- Customizable Filters & Categories: Employees can efficiently find products using filters and category-specific searches, ensuring a smooth shopping experience.
- Easy Returns and Cancellations: Built-in support allows users to cancel or return orders in line with Amazon’s return policies, with points refunded upon completion of the return process.
- Purchase Groups Mapping: Organizations can set up purchase groups and map specific payment methods like the Innovation Minds rewards system.
- Flexible Payment Options: If employees do not have enough points, they can top up using personal payment methods (TBD).
- Please note that any rewards users redeem from Amazon Business are tax-exempt, as the companies are not distributing cash but tangible personal property.
Using Amazon Business Rewards Store
Redeeming Rewards via Amazon Business
- Go to the ‘Rewards’ section in Innovation Minds and select ‘Amazon Store’.
- Utilize features such as the left sub-menu, filters, or ‘responsible buying’ options to narrow down your product choices.
- Select the desired category, choose the item you want, and add it to your cart.
- Add your shipping address or ensure that the indicated shipping address is correct and complete the purchase by placing the order.
- If you do not have enough points to cover the full price, you may have the option to top up the remaining amount using your credit card (To be determined).
Tracking and Managing Redemptions
- Use the ‘Orders’ link within Innovation Minds to monitor the status of your purchases.
- If you need to cancel the order, submit a support ticket through Innovation Minds’ built-in support feature (subject to Amazon’s policies).
- If a return is eligible, Innovation Minds will provide a shipping label.
- Once you’ve shipped the item, confirm the return, and Innovation Minds will issue points back to your account.
Set up the Amazon Business Rewards Store in Innovation Minds
Setting Up Amazon Business Account
- Ensure the client (e.g., SPL) has an Amazon Business account, either Prime or non-Prime, based on their preference.
- Only Client Admins can set up, edit, and disconnect Amazon.
- This admin must also be registered as an admin in your Amazon Business account.
- Inside your Amazon Business account, create a purchase group.
- Map the payment method for the group, e.g., Innovation Minds Rewards.
- Copy the Group ID and note it down, as it’s required during the setup.
Funding Setup
To utilize the Amazon Business Rewards Store, clients must first set up a funding structure with their Amazon Business account.
- Guided Setup: Your Customer Success Manager (CSM) will assist you in establishing the funding mechanism through Amazon Business.
- Billing Process: Once the setup is complete, employees can start redeeming their points seamlessly. Your organization’s account will be billed monthly or sent an invoice summarizing the redemptions made.
- Flexibility: This model allows organizations to manage their funding on a recurring basis while ensuring employees always have access to a robust rewards catalog.

Granting Permission to Innovation Minds
- Navigate to the Amazon system integration settings: Amazon System Integration Settings
- Under the ‘Members’ section, click ‘Groups’.
- Select the group you wish to connect to your Amazon Business Account.
- Ensure that the group has a valid payment method on file.
- On that group’s settings page, under the ‘Systems integrations’ section, click ‘Purchasing system’.
- Select ‘Innovation Minds’ as your purchasing system.
- Once your purchasing system is configured, ensure that your purchasing system status is set to ‘ACTIVE’. Setting your status to active will require you to have a valid payment method on file.
Connecting Innovation Minds to Amazon Business
- In the App Center, find Innovation Minds and click ‘Connect App’. It will redirect you to Innovation Minds Amazon App
- In this page, click ‘Sign in to your Employee Xpereince Platform’ and enter your Innovation Minds login credentials. If you are new to Innovation Minds, use the sign-up form to get started.
- Go to admin and select Site Settings. In the reward options, tick ‘Amazon’ to enable Amazon Rewards for your employees.
- Whitelist both your Amazon Business and Innovation Minds accounts to ensure a smooth transaction flow.
- To whitelist your domain in your Amazon Business account:
- Go to your Amazon Business business settings (general settings, not for a specific group).
- Under the ‘Systems Integrations’ section, click ‘Domain verification’.
- Click ‘Add domain’ and follow the steps to add your desired domain(s).
